Kitui South Mp Hon. Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai has released footballs and 20 sets of uniforms to various football clubs across the six wards.
In an event held at the popular Mutomo Chief’s Camp today at Mutomo Kibwea ward, Hon Dr. Nyamai launched a total of 150 footballs ⚽️ and 20 sets of uniforms for distribution to youth football teams across the constituency whereby the other 5 wards will be receiving their share as from next week
Addressing the players and other youth who attended the event, MP Nyamai urged the youth to distance themselves from alcohol, drugs, and substance abuse during this festive season.
She further urged them to engage in healthy sporting activities like football as well as participate in income generating activities like farming, especially at this season when the region is receiving good amounts of rainfall.
At the same time, Hon Dr. Nyamai addressed the youth on the importance of good conduct/ behaviour, saying it will help them avoid unwanted pregnancies, sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
“As we celebrate World Aids Day, i want to encourage all the youth of Kitui South to be of good conduct and remain vigilant at all times to avoid contacting and spreading this disease.” Hon, Dr. Rachael Nyamai said.
