Kitui Ministry of Water and Irrigation held a round table meeting with all the staff members at Kitui town to discuss matters pertaining staff welfare and service delivery.
Speaking when he officiated the opening ceremony, the Minister for Water and Irrigation Peter Nkunda, encouraged his staff to offer the best services to Kitui people to guarantee actualization of Governor Dr. Julius Malombe’s development agenda.
The meeting is meant to cultivate a results-oriented approach towards delivery of services to Kitui residents and plan the best mechanisms to put in place to ensure the Ministry achieves all its performance targets.
He emphasized on the need for the technical officers to observe utmost professionalism in project supervision so that all projects are implemented in line with the respective designs and bills of quantities to ensure both their value for money and sustainability.
Also in attendance are the Chief Officer for Water Mr Nathan Vungo and his counterpart for Irrigation Madam Bretta Mwangangi.
