Patrick Ngere Leads Tree Planting Exercise in Migwani Sub County, Over 2000 trees were planted

By LEAD ADMIN.

On Saturday, Migwani sub county in Mwingi West witnessed a remarkable display of environmental stewardship and community support, all spearheaded by Mr. Patrick Ngere, the Director of the Tourism Fund.

With a vision for a greener future and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of local residents, Ngere orchestrated a tree planting exercise that saw over 2000 trees find their roots in the fertile soil of Migwani.

But the initiative didn’t stop there. Joined by Migwani’s Deputy County Commissioner, Mr. Dominic Talala, and supported by the Mama Sara Foundation, chaired by Ngere himself, the event took on a broader significance. The Mama Sara Foundation, through Ngere, generously donated 39 wheelchairs to individuals living with disabilities in the community, demonstrating a holistic approach to community development.

Ngere’s call to action resonated with residents, urging them to embrace the national government’s initiative for tree planting, championed by none other than President William Ruto. With environmental concerns at the forefront of national discourse, Ngere’s leadership and the collective efforts of all involved underscored the importance of grassroots action in addressing pressing issues such as climate change and environmental degradation.

The event served as a testament to the power of collaboration and collective action in driving positive change at the local level. By fostering partnerships between government entities, NGOs, and community stakeholders, Ngere and his team exemplified the potential for synergy in addressing multifaceted challenges facing communities today.

As the newly planted trees take root and the recipients of the wheelchairs experience newfound mobility and independence, the impact of last Saturday’s activities will continue to reverberate throughout Migwani sub county. It serves as a reminder that through unity, compassion, and a shared commitment to sustainability, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
