Nicholas Mulila, Nguna, Nyenze & Dr. Vincent Munywoki Join hands to raise over 11M for Kabati Parish Funds Drive

In a world often overshadowed by discord and division, the Kabati parish fund drive stands as a shining example of what can be achieved through unity and collective action. Held on May 12th, 2024, at the Holy Family Parish in Kabati, Kitui West Constituency, this event brought together community leaders, corporate figures, and residents in a remarkable display of solidarity.

Led by Nicholas Mulila, Safaricom’s corporate security chief officer, and Members of Parliament Vethi Nyenze and Charles Nguna, the fund drive aimed to establish the Holy Family Parochial Academy. This ambitious endeavor drew widespread support, with attendees rallying behind the cause with enthusiasm and generosity.

The contributions poured in from various quarters, totaling over 11 million Kenyan Shillings. This financial support, coupled with the presence of key figures such as Fredrick Kimanga, Kitui County Executive Member for lands, and Area MCA Gabriel Munyao, underscored the collaborative effort to uplift the community.

Dr. Vincent Munyoki, Director of the Dr. Vincent Munyoki Foundation, also lent his support, emphasizing the importance of partnerships in driving positive change. Beyond the monetary donations, the event served as a powerful reminder of the spirit of ubuntu – the belief that “I am because we are” – wherein individuals come together for the greater good of the community.

The success of the Kabati parish fund drive extends far beyond the establishment of a school. It exemplifies the strength of community bonds and the generosity of spirit that defines us as a people. It showcases the potential for transformative change when individuals set aside their differences and work towards a common goal.

As we reflect on this remarkable achievement, let us be inspired to emulate the example set forth by Nicholas Mulila, Mp Vethi Nyenze, Mp Charles Nguna, and all those who contributed to this noble cause. Let us continue to foster collaboration and goodwill in our communities, knowing that together, we can build a brighter future for all.

The Kabati parish fund drive stands as a testament to the power of unity in action, serving as a beacon of hope for communities everywhere. It reminds us that by standing together, we can overcome any challenge and create a better world for generations to come.
