On Saturday, April 6th, 2024, Mr. Nicholas Mulila, Safaricom’s Chief Security Officer, spearheaded a fundraising event to support the construction of a new sanctuary for Kavisuni Catholic Church. The event aimed to raise over Ksh. 3 million for the initial stages of the project and garnered a remarkable turnout of leaders, professionals, and friends rallying behind this noble cause.
Mr. Nicholas Mulila, serving as the chief guest, played a significant role in the initiative, generously contributing alongside 15 of his friends a total of Ksh. 1.04 million towards the funds drive.
This collective effort resulted in a total contribution of 3.1M, surpassing the budget of 3M. Prominent figures such as former DIG of Police Joel Kitili, Honorable Rollon-Area MCA, Honorable Gabriel Munyao of Kauwi Ward, Hon. Katula of Kanyangi, CO Soi of Environment, Dr. Vincent Munywoki of Vincent Munywoki Foundation, and Mr. Joseph Kibiwott, among other Young Professionals, also stood alongside Mr. Mulila in support of the cause.
The generosity displayed during the event was truly inspiring, reflecting a shared commitment to community development and solidarity. Mr. Mulila, expressing his gratitude, emphasized the importance of remaining united in efforts towards the completion of the church project.
