The government is promoting foreign labour migration as a cost-effective strategy to alleviate the unemployment challenge in the short and medium term.
President William Ruto’s foreign visits have secured:
1. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: 3,500 Nursing opportunities.
2. Germany: 250,000 job opportunities in ICT, Healthcare and Nursing, Agriculture, green energy, and transport (Buses & taxis).
3. Israel: 30,000 job opportunities in the Agriculture and Agri-business sector. Already, 100 Kenyans from the NYS have been selected for deployment.
4. The Republic of Serbia: 20,000 opportunities in the construction and service sector.
