Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai took a significant step by launching 150 footballs and 20 sets of uniforms during an event held at Mutomo Chief’s Camp. This philanthropic move aims to bolster local football clubs across the constituency, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and community engagement.
The distribution of footballs and uniforms is set to benefit youth football teams spanning all six wards, with the first batch being handed out at Mutomo Kibwea ward. Hon. Dr. Nyamai expressed her commitment to uplifting the community through sports, emphasizing the positive impact of such activities on both physical and mental well-being.
Addressing the assembled players and youth, the MP urged them to steer clear of vices like alcohol, drugs, and substance abuse, especially during the festive season. Instead, she encouraged active participation in sports, particularly football, as a means of channeling energy constructively. Additionally, Hon. Dr. Nyamai highlighted the opportune moment for engaging in income-generating activities, such as farming, leveraging the region’s current favorable rainfall.

Dr. Nyamai underscored the importance of good behavior in preventing unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
